Yummy, yummy! I love a Sour and this one has Maple Syrup in it! What is not to like about that? Menu for my weekend breakfast? Pancakes, bacon and a Maple Bourbon Sour all with WhistlePig Barrel Aged Maple Syrup!!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz WhistlePig PiggyBack 100 Proof Bourbon
- ¾ oz WhistlePig Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 dashes bitters (an orange bitters would be nice)
- 1 egg* white (optional)
- Garnish–an expressed orange peel and/or a Luxardo cherry and/or an orange slice.
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to an ice filled shaker.
- Shake until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with an expressed orange peel and/or a Luxardo cherry and/or an orange slice.
