Summer Peach Sipper (p. 108)

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE fresh summertime peaches and cannot wait for The Peach Truck to start their deliveries. This is a good time to find ALL the ways to enjoy peaches and so I present a sippin’ option for you to try. Let me know if you love it as much as I do.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of bourbon or whiskey
- 1 ripe peach peeled and diced
- ½ tbl brown sugar
- Juice from ¼ of a fresh orange
- ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Ginger Beer
- Garnish – fresh mint
Directions:
- Place the diced peach, 2 mint leaves, the brown sugar, and the lemon and orange juices in a shaker and gently muddle to release the mint oils and aroma.
- Add the bourbon or whiskey and ice to the shaker and shake until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, top with Ginger Beer and garnish with sprigs of mint and a slice of peach.
