Shaylyn Gammon is Sharing Her Superwoman Cape

Shaylyn Gammon is Sharing Her Superwoman Cape

For those of you who may not yet have had the pure pleasure of meeting Shaylyn, you need to know that not only is she a talented Whiskey Scientist, but she is also mother and wife, daughter and friend, colleague and mentor.  Ever adaptable to the moment and pursuing the maximum achievement in whatever she directs her attention to, she employs a strategy of intentional focus.

She shares this "superwoman" cape with many women in the industry. She is VERY good at juggling. She wakes up each morning, throws all the balls in the air, and then spends all day making sure she does NOT drop one.  She does this by being very intentional in her attention to tasks and being present in the space that she currently inhabits.

"Because I multi-task, no one thing has my fullest attention at any one moment, BUT when I intentionally give my attention to one thing, it has my FULLEST attention."

2023 at Blue Run brought change and that change brought new and exciting opportunities for the now Head of Whiskey Innovation and Development for Molson Coors.  In addition to Blue Run, she also pulled Five Trail Whiskey and Barmen 1873 Bourbon under her umbrella. The variance in these brands allows her to explore the creation of liquids for different audiences and price points while also delving into possible process enhancements...the sweet spot where creativity meets science.

She excels at marrying science to the creative, and then further to the marketing to create products that reflect her commitment to discovering "what the car is and what kind of wheels will it have".  I, for one, love the "cars" she builds.

I love and appreciate our Superwomen for everything they do, but my fondest wish is for them to occasionally take that cape off to enjoy a dram of their favorite and a mani/pedi!

Sláinte Mhath Shaylyn!
