This spin on an Old Fashioned is attributed to Paul Trahan Taylor of Southern Efficiency in Washington D.C. and was recommended by Becky Scott Harris, chief distiller and co-founder of Catoctin Creek. This looks delicious and definitely should be your drink of choice if you need that drink RIGHT NOW!
Ingredients
2 ounces of Catoctin 92 proof Roundstone Rye
½ ounce walnut liqueur (Don Ciccio Nocino)
½ ounce honey simple syrup
1 dash of Angostura aromatic bitters
Garnish – burnt orange peel
Directions
Combine the ingredients in a beautiful rocks glass with a single large ice cube, stir till well chilled
