Excited to Explore a Variation on a Classic??? Try a Walnut Old Fashioned!!! (p. 117)

This spin on an Old Fashioned is attributed to Paul Trahan Taylor of Southern Efficiency in Washington D.C. and was recommended by Becky Scott Harris, chief distiller and co-founder of Catoctin Creek.  This looks delicious and definitely should be your drink of choice if you need that drink RIGHT NOW!

 Ingredients

• 2 ounces of Catoctin 92 proof Roundstone Rye
• ½ ounce walnut liqueur (Don Ciccio Nocino)
• ½ ounce honey simple syrup
• 1 dash of Angostura aromatic bitters
• Garnish – burnt orange peel

Directions

• Combine the ingredients in a beautiful rocks glass with a single large ice cube, stir till well chilled
• Garnish and enjoy.
